I have formed a habit of starting books and not realizing they are in a series. While normally I’m a strict in order reader, every time this has happened I haven’t regretted it!

Murder in Merton Library is the 7th book in the Wrexford and Sloane series. While I haven’t read the others I throughly enjoy this regency era mystery! I’m sure I missed a lot in the other books about how the family dynamic came to be, I very quickly fell in love with each character. The respect and love Wrexford and Lady Charlotte have for eachother, their relationship with the weasels and Peregrine, McClellan being the glue that holds them together is just so wonderful to read. I was worried when the story split into two mysteries. I always find my self liking one significantly more and wanting to skip chapters to get back to the juicer storyline. However, I loved both of them equally. Incredibly well paced, clever, and surprisingly informative (which I later learned is a theme in the series). So excited to read the rest of the series!!
