TW: death of loved ones; possession

This series had so much potential and I think I went in with too high of hopes due to its slight cult following. Fans of fae series will likely still enjoy it but I found the overarching plot a bit disjointed, the world building not as fleshed out as I would have liked, and the villains to be under-utilized. I never felt a sense of danger for the characters or any angst in a relationship that was supposed to be “will they; won’t they.” One of the few times I think a series could have been longer to give everything enough time.
