I am not the target audience for this book. My daughter (15) is and she wanted me to read the whole series so I did. I just hate that the focus of many popular YA books is that a girl is attracted to 2 brothers. It’s just so wrong! With this particular book I didn’t like that Avery and the one brother were sleeping together and none of the adults talked to her about it or cautioned her against it. I am not a prude but Avery wasn’t even 18 for most of this book. I get that kids have sex but I just don’t love that the author decided to have Avery’s relationship with the one brother turn so physical while she still seems to yearn for the other brother. The worst is reading marketing or reviews for the book that call it “romantic.”
