It took me awhile to read this but only because I feel like this book is one of those books where you can't just read it all in one sitting, it has to be slowly savored. The work was just so beautiful and emotional at times plus the amount of research the author probably had to do to get all the time period events/attitudes/people and even their clothing authentic.. it's just wow. This is an amazing piece of art.
