I feel like we missed put on way too much with a two year time jump. For the book that's the finale of the series it felt like we were mildly robbed. Especially since this was supposed to wrap everything up. Nothing really felt wrapped up and nothing was really resolved. Taking the chains away from all the other penguins for a season wasn't going to stop Gentoo penguins from getting them since they're all rich... And it was so rushed to just have Sergey buy all of that land with no back and forth seen. It was a cute story but it was a bit of a let down as a "big finale". It felt rushed or like the story wasn't strong enough to be finished properly. I love Heller, but I don't think this book was strong enough to be the right one for the "finale" of the series.
