I really enjoyed this book! It was unlike any other memoir I've ever read. It had a really cool mix of figures from Japanese, Taiwanese, and Okinawan legends with details of Lin's own life and I really enjoyed that. Lin's sister also illustrated the book which paired so well with the story.
As much as I enjoyed this book, it also has a lot of hard topics including death of a parent, suicidal ideations/attempt, and mental illness. I would suggest checking content warnings before reading.
I would definitely recommend this book and I think it'd be a great gift for the right audience!
A big thank you to BiblioLifestyle for a copy of this for a book tour!
