Call Her Janie: A Scintillating Romantic Suspense with a Shocking Twist by S. R. Fabrico
5.0
This book had me gripped from the start. I adored Lizzie from the beginning of the book. She is a powerful female character who has been through a lot. This book shows that even though someone can be a powerful female in life and their career, I had to escape from the past. This is a well-written, emotionally charged narrative of a young woman's journey through love, death, grief, acceptance, and second chances. Ms Fabrico will seize your attention from the outset and transport you on a heart-pounding suspenseful roller coaster ride of twists and turns. It's fast-paced and impossible to put down. You will be on the edge of your seat from beginning to end! The characters are highly formed, authentic, and likeable. This one will tug at your emotions—romantic suspense with a shocking conclusion. I can't wait to see what happens next. After knowing more about Lizzie's life experiences and past, I couldn't help but want a reasonable conclusion for her by the end! I'm not sure what I enjoyed better: the town, the love story between Lizzie and Josh, the cosy vibes of Renee and Randy's old-fashioned romance, the suspense of the buried truths, or Lizzie's redemption after her tragedy. Expect to fall in love with every character and want to move to Southport. I was utterly immersed in the plot's romance and drama. Just when I thought things couldn't get any more tense, they did, and I felt myself crossing my fingers and toes that everything would be well by the end of the chapter!
