The ending…??!?! Are you kidding me!
I definitely didn’t expect Quinn to die
. It made everything so much more dramatic.
Luckily, Risk has our back and is fixing it as we speak. Way to go, Risk!

This part of the Dark Maji series had some plot twists that were great and gave more depth to the story, like with Lazarus and Nero.
I have so many questions about them being brothers! Does Nero have the same dark magic? Why do they hate each other? What happened???

The only downside for me was the explicitly described sexual scenes. To me, they just felt like filler scenes and weren’t necessary to understand anything in the story. The development of Lazarus and Quinn’s relationship was described specifically enough without these scenes. For instance,
the scene where Quinn explains that there are better bonds than marriage
was so much stronger.
