A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens
5.0
This was the very first classical novel I've ever read voluntarily. And it was AWESOME.
Even the first lines (It was the best of times, it was the worst of times... gave me chills!
After reading this, I must say that Charles Dickens was and always will remain a brilliant author. He created a book for nearly all age categories with all sorts of characters, striking backstories and crushing ending (like really, I had to fight the tears so hard!). I'm a bit upset, that I never got to read about Sydney Carton's backstory, but even though, I really enjoyed the book and look forward to reading another novel from Charles Dickens.
NOTE for all the fans of The Infernal Devices: Will saying his favourite character is Sydney Carton makes so much sense now.
