This book became an instant favourite when I first read it, and I’m so happy that I feel the same way about it re-reading it now six years later. This book is full of love, kindness, and respect. Chambers put so much care into worldbuilding and exploring the galaxy she created, and the people, histories, and cultures within it. For me, this is one of those books that feels familiar and comforting as if I were visiting old friends—it feels like home. Chambers’ writing left me in awe and improved my mood. I encourage sci-fi fans new and old to read this.
