My mother-in-law gave me her copy of this book because the main character is a linguist and so am I. The author got so many things about linguistics wrong in the first 3 chapters that I just couldn't keep going. Also, the main character's father is a famous scientist who didn't know what a sabbatical was? A little research would have gone a long way.
