Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood
3.0
it was not good but it was good!
i enjoyed myself reading most of this despite some of the cheesier aspects that didn’t work for me. a bit fanfic-y but i don’t mind that! advertised as enemies to lovers but really it’s miscommunication to lovers. it’s definitely an ali hazelwood brand of teeny tiny woman and big big man (good for her). bee and levi were frustrating characters, especially only getting bee’s POV. their cute moments were cute and i wanted more of that.
as a ~woman in stem~ i appreciate the issues ali points out in academia but i feel like the ideas were dropped at the end and not fully thought out.
the ending was a choice
spoilers thought dump: guy’s cartoon villain monologue was so out of place. the hidden identity reveal to each other seemed very anticlimactic? smut scenes were a roller coaster for me lmao “good girl” “built for me” “show me” i’ll let you guess which one(s) i hated
