These books are ridiculously short. NOTHING happens in a single installment and there are no logical plot breaks between them. Also, every single character is insufferable in this series. Why did they split the books the way they did? It's so bad that it doesn't even feel like a cliff hanger, it just feels like each book is a choppy sentence fragment, an unfinished thought. Ugh. Will continue just for completion sake, but I am pretty disappointed.

I'll say it again, Beyond the Spiderwick Chronicles is so much better.
