Audio: I read this book for a group read without reading anything about it except a quote that said something about it being like Witches of Eastwick meets something else, I forget what. That was a fun movie (and show if anyone remembers that) so I figured that was enough of an endorsement for me. I have to say, I am not super sure what I just read. Did I like it? Sure, it has some interesting characters, some good ideas and something for everyone whether you like romance, light horror, fantasy, mystery...there's a little of all of that. I had to relisten to a couple chapters simply because when the next chapter started, I was certain I'd missed something important; but with the second listen, I hadn't missed anything. The narration was good, the voices were distinguishable and the pace was great. I am not sure yet if I'd recommend it, but perhaps after I sit with it for a little bit, I may. I do feel I should read something else by this author just to see if it's them or if it's me just not getting it.
