Diary of a Void by Emi Yagi

lighthearted medium-paced

3.75

I feel like there is something to be said about how this book explores how Shibata is asked to do a lot of thankless labor that society often requests of women in her work place (i.e. making coffee/tea, cleaning up, etc.)and how her escape from that thankless expectation is by faking a pregnancy, something society also demands of women.

This book was odd and funny, and my mind may have drifted a bit towards the end or it just went over my head, but idk how she did that lol…if she did that at all.
