God, I love sports manga. Even the most, seemingly mundane, extracurriculars can become exhilarating with the right mangaka on the pen. Mori’s (likely tragic) past is lightly hinted at in this first volume and I’m eager to see how he ended up like this—craving that self-destructive isolation. I’m invested…hope to see more gorgeous panel spreads as we continue as well!
