Deep South: Four Seasons on Back Roads by Paul Theroux

3.0

(It's been two and a half years. Time to count this book as finished. This has absolutely nothing to do with barely making my Goodreads goal for 2021 and wanting to hit it by the end of the year.)

The historical stories and anecdotes of this book were really great. The in-between bit which are more of Paul Theroux's voice (i.e. white, wealthy, and often has an "othering" lens to the poor and/or black folk that he meets along the way), less so.
