The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

2.0

Well, I think it deserves 3.5 stars but anyway, I didn't feel this connection with the book/ characters so definitely not 4. And yeah maybe this book is overrated but it's always nice to hear the story from different kind of people with different kind of problems. I hope Charlie will be in a good shape in his sophomore year and doesn't try to put the others' happiness before his.
But some things about him really annoyed me! Like how he let Patrick kisses him or when he started smoking pot! Like although what he's been through, I still feel like he's naive sometimes. Like when he didn't refuse the attraction of Marry Elisabeth toward him or the time when let his friend drink when he was going on a hard time ( and of course drinking with him) instead of pushing him to face his problems and get over them and doing the opposite! So yeah I think that's it till now. I hope he'll be wiser and "smarter" next year, cause personally I don't think he's that smart.
