The Adventure of Wisteria Lodge by Arthur Conan Doyle

2.0

Kind of underwhelming considering some of Sherlock Holmes classics and also, a lot of colonial-type of language used to describe black, brown, and other foreign people and their customs which (for me) detracted from the mystery/story. I'm sure it was perfectly acceptable to write non-white characters like this back in late 1800s/early 1900s but it is harder/offensive to read this now, especially if you're a POC. I'd recommend checking out ACD's more well-known Holmes classics and skipping this if you have other things on your reading list.
