Once Upon an Eid by S.K. Ali
5.0
I really can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this anthology. First, this is one of the few collections of short stories where I loved every single story. There wasn't a single story I didn't enjoy. More importantly, I'm so glad there's a book like this, with great Muslim representation, for younger readers. I'm a fan of any book that has good representation, especially when aimed at younger readers. Young Muslim readers can see themselves, or their families, in these stories. Through these heartwarming and touching stories, non-Muslim readers can learn about Ramadan, Eid and the importance of those holidays to Muslims around the world. It also shows the different traditions Muslims may have for the holiday.
