Well I gave it a try. After Heart of Obsidian I thought I might like this series, but once again we are not compatible and I will accept it. It's such a shame because the writing is very good and the world building interesting and satisfying. The fatal flaws are always the main characters. I did not enjoy the heroine. She's super capable/strong, independent and quick with the quips. She wasn't annoying I just didn't care about her. Raphael was interesting and I liked him, but he can't carry it on his own. Their relationship moved very quickly for a couple that has several books ahead of them. Maybe someday I'll read Dmtri's book but that's about it for this series.
