The Humans by Matt Haig

5.0

This book was simply AMAZING! One of my friends recommended this to me and I do not regret reading it. Gives a fresh perspective to the normal, mundane, boring life we're living and it inspired me to appreciate and be grateful for the little things in life.

I read this one a year ago, so it's a little bit fuzzy. Basically, an alien (from a really advanced species) gets sent to earth cause a maths professor made a breakthrough that will change the way we live in a huge way. So, he gets sent down to get rid of him, his work and make sure no one finds out about the discovery he made.

He impersonates the professor and the things he does is somewhat comedy too. As he's trying to complete the mission, he discovers that his "wife" is really unhappy cause they're having troubles with their marriage and his "son" hates his father and feels constantly embarrassed by him.

It was amazing to read through the journey of an alien, who at first, really despised humans came to love them and discovered what love and being human, and also, being on earth means. It makes you think at the end, "being human doesn't really suck" God, I loved this book.
