I’m starting to feel like this author’s books don’t really belong in the thriller category. Not really.
This one was weird. Lots of time skips. No one mystery lasts through the entire book. There’s a lot of characters to juggle and it can get confusing. In a lot of ways it reads like your average contemporary fiction. The vibes were strong though and I really didn’t want to put it down.
But it gets an extra half a star for startling the hell out of me. Jesus Christ, I felt a level of dread I’m not used to finding in thrillers.
