This gave me goosebumps the entire time I was reading. I kept pausing, putting names into Google, looking at faces. Hoping for updates that led to closure if not real justice.
There wasn’t.
I think this is the sort of concept that could be exploitative in the wrong hands, but the author handled the topic beautifully. Each woman and girl was treated as a person first, not a string of horrific details. I appreciated that. I like to think they would too.
