I read this one quick!  This was a YA “novel about unseen beasts and the weight of what we pass on” and I loved it!

It was a triple threat- Mystery/horror/thriller combination told in dual timelines.

We have a strained (that’s a generous description) family dynamic, a cult, milk (yes, I said milk), a super likeable MC with a sunny disposition, and dead bodies piling up left and right.

When you get to the twist, y’all?!?  I had no idea what I was in for 😩🫣 And by the epilogue we learn why the Behre’s are tender beasts.  (Come on bringing the title full
circle!)
