Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI by David Grann

2.0

Everyone loves this book but I just don't get it. The story/facts of the case were extremely fascinating and something I knew nothing about prior to reading this book... but I found the actual telling of the case extremely boring. Once I was beyond the first part of the book I did not enjoy the writing. I can't even really put into words why- I just was not being pulled along as I should have been. Continuing to listen to the audiobook felt like something I HAD to do for the sake of finishing the book and the fact that this is a book club selection, it wasn't something that I actually wanted to continue reading.

Movie Update- January 2024:
The movie took my husband and I three parts to get through. After the first hour he was falling asleep and we had to take a break. An hour or so after resuming we needed yet another break from it. It probably took us 8 hours in total to get through this movie. With that said, it was better than the book.
