Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling
5.0
ratings:
stars: 5/5
readability: 4/5
plot: 5/5
recommend: yes
overview:
my second favorite book in the series, after [b:Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban|5|Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter, #3)|J.K. Rowling|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1499277281l/5._SY75_.jpg|2402163]. a lot of the books in this series have a ton of exposition in it, (which really contributes to the world building) and this book is no exception.
liked:
- finally got the Harry andGinny relationship, however, i personally felt like it came out of nowhere since there weren't any hints in the previous books
- the first chapter with both (kind of three) ministers
- introduction of Horace Slughorn
- more potions, without Snape
- everything to do with felix felices
- the quidditch portions, especially with Harry as the captain

- Fleur Delacour's love for Bill Weasley
disliked:
- the beginning is a bit slower compared to books 1-4, but at least it was better than [b:Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix|2|Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter, #5)|J.K. Rowling|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1546910265l/2._SX50_.jpg|2809203].
- hated the part where Hermione cheated to get Ron onto the quidditch team. clearly, both Harry and Hermione doubted Ron's ability, but didn't want to hurt their friend's feelings. Ron got bullied so much in [b:Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix|2|Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter, #5)|J.K. - the way Lavender Brown was treated
- the way Fleur Delacour was treated
- the death ofDumbledore , I would've finished this in a day, if it were not for the fact that his death stopped me from continuing.
