The Last Olympian: The Graphic Novel by Robert Venditti, Rick Riordan

5.0

The Last Olympian is one of my absolute favourite books so it isn't a surprise that I enjoyed the graphic novel, but this was definitely a much better adaptation than some of the other Percy Jackson graphic novels. The art is great, I'm very glad that they changed the artist after book 3 of the series. I loved every minute of reading this book and it affected me emotionally just like the prose novel does.

I do wonder how well this adaptation stands up for someone who has not read the original - there were plot points that seemed very quick and I wonder how easy it is to understand everything that happens without prior knowledge. As I know the story so well though it's impossible for me to really judge how readable it is by somebody experiencing it for the first time. I can only judge by my own experience and I loved it.
