I’ve never read a thriller like this. I didn’t come close to guessing the ending because the author and I were playing by different rules of what’s possible. 

Like many thrillers, I wasn’t attached to any of the characters. They’re all pretty terrible. But the plot was engaging and I’m satisfied as I finish it.
