The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell
3.0
Not a bad book, not a great thriller. I personally wouldn’t categorize this one as a thriller, but a mystery to me. This was my first Lisa Jewell book and I’m not sure I’ll read her again.
In some ways it did remind me of Flowers in the Attic by VC Andrews, one of my favorite books, but I much preferred that one.
I wanted less hopping from perspective and I wanted more details on the past in the house. I didn’t care about Libby whatsoever so that was part of my struggle too.
It didn’t push envelopes for me. It was an engaging read but not one I would recommend to others.
