Piper is new to Connecticut.  Joanna has been waiting for Leo to emerge from a severe depression and return to herself and the two children they both adore.  When a spark starts to flicker she's horrified to find that it's Piper that Leo is drawn to...  wedding bells sound very quickly, but Joanna has discovered disturbing secrets from Piper's past, leading her to fear for Leo and the childrens' lives.

For 80% of this book I was planning on giving it a higher rating, the writing is taut, and the authors keep the pages turning, even whilst presenting us with a novel full of fairly unlikeable characters across the board.  However I found the conclusion and last few chapters somewhat irritating and all a little too pat, a little too par for the course in a psychological thriller.

Decent writing, probably authors I'd read again
