THAT ENDING THOUGH.

Listen, this is a long book - is it too long? Yes, absolutely. Someone needs to tell SJM that not every novel needs to be 800 pages long.

Is it worth the read? Absolutely. The character development of our main couple is spot on and in keeping with what came before. The character development of some familiar faces was also great, building on what we witnessed in the first of this series. The introduction of some new faces kept me guessing as well and I’m excited to see how these characters develop as we go as well.

My only gripe is a couple of plot points that were dragged out for a bit longer than necessary. Apart from that, SJM has absolutely done it again and I’m looking forward to Crescent City 3!
