oh boy where do i even begin?

first, i loved it. i don’t necessarily relate to Elsie in any way but this book still felt deeply personal to me in a way i wasn’t expecting. 

i think what did it for me was how because Elsie couldn’t figure out which version of herself she needed to present to Jack to please him, she decided that she wasn’t going to try to get him to like her and instead (for the first time ever) is completely, unapologetically herself. and he loves her even more for it. Elsie feels the need to hide who she really is to gain acceptance and love from the people in her life and Jack is the first person to not only notice this but call her out on it. they spent so much of the book trying to help Elsie to be honest with herself and the people in her life. AND I LOVED THAT. 

also i would like to note that if you were personally victimized by the miscommunication in The Love Hypothesis, it has been proved that Love, Theoretically can heal that. (from personal experience)
