I was lucky enough to get my hands on an ARC of Pecan Children and from the moment I stepped into the lush prose I couldn't put this one down.  Lovable and realistic characters set against the backdrop of Southern magical realism and family secrets is a winning combination. Step into the orchard, and keep away from the kudzu.
