The first book I've read that is based on a TV series. I have watched the series before and loved it and I enjoyed the book. It was funny and strange and smeg-tastic. I do however wonder if I would have liked it if I hadn't watched the series.

The characters were more pronounced because I knew them already, the scenes made sense. The antagonism between Lister and Rimmer was just as it was in the series. I enjoyed how some bits were explained a bit more and you got a bit more back story.

Great for a few laughs.
