I adore Maisie Dobbs and I am sad that this is the last in the series. The main mystery was resolved a little earlier in the story than usual, leaving room for a small secondary mystery as well as a lot of reflection and introspection. The stakes were also not as high as previous books. You take a journey through all the prior happenings in the series.
Moderate: Grief
Minor: Death, Drug abuse, Miscarriage, Torture, War, Injury/Injury detail, and Classism
