The Woman in Me by Britney Spears
4.0
Jeez, what this poor woman went through…
I’ve never really been a Britney Spears fan; at the time that she was really popular it wasn’t the type of music that I listened to, and it’s still not really. There are a few of her songs that I like, but I’ve never really followed her or her career. Until more recently, when she was being criticized for her Instagram posts and then with the #FreeBritney movement. I’m so glad that she was finally able to get out of her incredibly abusive conservatorship, which she never should have been under.
This book was really eye-opening to just how badly she was manipulated and abused by her family and those that are close to her.
