my goodness i could write an essay on why i hated this book.

i’ll start with positives. i think this story is pretty unique. the gender fluidity and queerness of it is a plus. i enjoy when rh have those themes. i like onyx and willows relationship. it’s kinda toxic but i’m sold on their love for each other. i like the concept of this world and the politics.

now to the things i don’t like. the clothing, the transphobia, willow being so hard headed she actually ended up putting ppl at risk, how easy trust was built, the inner dialogues of the same things(mostly of how awesome willow is without showing us and how willow self pities herself), everyone being billionaire in very unrealistic ways(really being billionaire bec you fight underground? please), singing forgive me by cxh while dying (bec what?), logo mania, too many tropes in one book(i started cackling at some point it was too much) and more but that’s a lot already so i’ll stop.
