I grew up watching Dirty Dancing but never knew much about Patrick Swayze. Yes, I knew a few films, Point Break, To Wong Foo but never realized the extent of his movies. I also didn't know he excelled at so many things before becoming an actor. Like anyone the man stumbled but he was the first to admit, he wasn't perfect.
Once he was diagnosed with cancer, his strength seemed to be amazing. His struggle will bring tears to your eyes. I also listened to the audiobook. It is read by Patrick and Lisa, his wife. It brings a whole new level of poignant knowing this book came out after his death.
This guy went all in for living life. Definitely worth the read.
