I liked reading this book and it did have a happy ending but there were a few moments when Mac says things to Freya that are hard to forget or forgive. She does forgive him and the way he asks for forgiveness is better but all he said was “I shouldn’t have said those things. I was in a bad place.” Now given he does go through a hard event but I felt like the asking for forgiveness was a little… too quickly dismissed. He said things that she had major insecurities about, I feel like she would have wanted more reassurance that he wouldn’t use those words again with her. 
But anyway it’s a good book, funny read (for the most part), and apart of a whole series. This book just didn’t make me want to read the others in the series.
