3.5* rounded up because it is part of the C & C universe, and whilst all can be read standalone, this one really does benefit from reading the series, with the links to previous stories and characters, though the visits to tye club are only for Damian to meet his friends.
Jeff is very broken and seeing him get used to trusting again is heart breaking, though he seems more resilient than Peter was at the hands of the same psychopath. I liked that the two came to realise that a full D/s relationship wasn't for them though I did find that their DD relationship was quite mild too. They are perhaps the most 'vanilla' of the pairings so far.
I do enjoy the writing of the authors so was able to consume in one sitting.
