Challenge Prompt: CNL’s #15 of 50 - “set on a boat, plane, or train” (cruise ship and steamboat)

Book #75 of 2024: This novel includes 3 women on a cruise ship to celebrate the upcoming wedding of one of them. The bride-to-be (Stella) ends up time-traveling to 1856. Late we learn that the term for people like her is that they are a “time sailor.” The time travel is confusing at times and I never did have a clear picture of it.

Though these are women who are college graduates and marrying age, I found the other two women (Wendy & Claire) to be more like 17-20 years old in behaviour at times. Thankfully they do learn a lot about themselves and learn to do better as they try to help Stella through letters left in the mysterious mailbox.

The process was a little muddy and the story never really grabbed me or pulled me in. I don’t believe I will continue on with the series. It may appeal to others but it just wasn’t for me personally. I have a couple other books by this author that I will try though.
