Spoilers ahead if you have not read Chloe Gong's books (These Violent Delights, Our Violent Ends, Foul Lady Fortune). In which case, please go and read those titles before returning.

In Last Violent Call, we get two novellas within the Chloe Gong universe in which we catch up with our favourite duos from the original novels. After they died/disappeared at the end of Our Violent Ends, we were given hints as to what may have become of these iconic couples. And in Last Violent Calls, everything is confirmed - they're back! And they're going to be returning to the universe as the storylines rejoin with those of Celine and Rosalind's in Shanghai years after the first events. It was so wonderful to be back with these characters and I cannot wait to see what unfolds as their stories continue is Foul Heart Huntsman.
