The Queen's Gambit by Walter Tevis

5.0

Surprisingly good story.

This was a re'y surprisingly good story. Walter Tevis tells a solid story. I read this after the hype died down from the Netflix Series. So, Missed the hype. Eybody raved about it, and I didn't give it a second thought. Until recently and gave it a shot. I'm glad I did. Good book overall, you find yourself not able to put it down. I don't understand chess, but the narrative fueled the adrenaline and made it exciting. You found yourself holding your breath in the right parts, sweating with her worrying over games, and sighing with relief when it worked itself out. surprisingly good read. I can't think of anything that I've read the -pares to it. But, if you want something different, give this one a shot. Happy reading.
