My Hero Academia, Vol. 5 by Kōhei Horikoshi

5.0

This volume doesn’t spend too much time on Deku; instead, it focuses a reasonable amount of time on Todoroki and his struggle with his father. Todoroki’s father, Endeavor, is preparing Todoroki to surpass All Might, but his past treatment of Todoroki causes a strain in their relationship. As Deku goes up against Todoroki, he realizes that Todoroki is trapped due to his hatred of his father and is not dedicated to being a hero. This volume does delve into the darker nature of superheroes and their participation in quirk marriages.
