Ugh I honestly enjoyed most of this book and it was a pretty good read overall, but it also treated a strong, well-developed platonic relationship as worthless compared to a random shoehorned romantic relationship, and that really irritated me. Worse, the incident wasn't just casually mentioned, it was plot-relevant so at this point I'm having a hard time being forgiving.
