All That's Left in the World by Erik J. Brown
4.5
This was wonderful! The author said "why aren't there queer people in dystopia?" and then fixed it himself, and I love that for him. I really loved this story of being young and scared and almost completely alone in a post-apocalyptic world. This is definitely a love story in its essence though, with a heavy focus on personal connection and companionship, so don't go into this thinking the romance is merely a sub-plot. I was completely engaged throughout the entire story and I found the ending to be so wonderful and hopeful! Definitely recommend this one, especially for a younger audience.
