Alpha Night by Nalini Singh

5.0

Ethan Night is an Arrow who is a telekinetic. He meets BlackEdge wolf pack Alpha Selenka Durev and it’s mating at first site. The stuff of soap operas and romance novels. But their connection is jagged and foggy. Ethan believes it’s because he’s damaged. He believes he has Scarab Syndrome, a power inside him that will eventually kill him.

There is a threat to the PsyNet that Ethan turns out to be uniquely able to handle. But why? There’s a deadly threat to the pack.

Ethan’s damage turns out to be a surprise.

I really liked Ethan—make sure you picture the non-US cover while reading the story. His reading of manuals and advice columns was funny. I suspected the nature of Ethan’s damage after a while and I was glad to be right.

Selenka’s lieutenant Margot was a real treat.
