Sunreach is the first in a series of novellas between the second and third books in the Skyward series. Though the"romance" portion has more of a YA feel, the rest of the story is exciting. It packs a lot of action and information into a short book. I like that we learn more about the Tanix (aka doomslugs) and that we get to know some of the side characters a bit better. While the first two books are from Spensa's POV, Sunreach is told through FM's eyes, and it gives me a greater appreciation for her character.
