How to Walk Away by Katherine Center
5.0
Margaret Jacobsen is my new favourite person. I loved her character, her strength and her humour. To me, this read like a wonderful memoir and I’m going to refuse to believe it’s fiction because I want her to be out there somewhere. Margaret is afraid of flying and always has been, but when her boyfriend Chip persuades her into the plane he is learning to fly, her life changes. An accident leaves her with a spinal cord injury and some burns and she has to learn what that means and how she’ll continue. Despite this seemingly depressing subject matter, this book made me smile, laugh out loud as well as cry. It reminded me a lot about Me Before You. It is a wonderful book to immerse yourself in and binge! Very very glad to have found this wonderful novel!
